From today, the 1st of July, the Blue Zones along the seafront paseos in Almuñécar and La Herradura are functioning again right up to the 31st of August.
The timetables are the same as last summer; i.e., from 11.00h to 15.00h and then 19.00h to 22.00h. Vehicles cannot stay more than three hours a day, so it’s no good moving out, going round the block and then parking a bit further down – you’ll get fined.
Councillor Robles Rivas reminds drivers that you can pay for parking using an app on your smartphone… or using the tried-and-trusted coin insertion. If you opt for the smartphone, then you will need the e-park app.
The seafront paseos in question are: Puerta del Mar, Playa Velilla, Playa Tesorillo, Playa El Pozuelo, Avenida Adolfo Suárez (Galera Playa), Plaza de Abderramán, Paseo de Las Flores, Paseo San Cristóbal, Paseo Rincón de la China and the Paseo Cotobro, as far as Edificio Los Ramos
Also included is Zona 8, which comprises of Avenida Mar de Plata, Calle Pirámide and Avenida Amelia Sánchez de Alcázar.
As for La Herradura, the affected areas are the Paseo Andrés Segovia, from the Mercado Municipal as far as the junction with Calle Alhambra and Calle Gonzalo Barbero.
