The economic aid for autónomos, which was scheduled to conclude at the end of this month, has been extended until the 30th of September.

The Ministerio de Seguridad Social, José Luis Escrivá, had met with representatives of the self-employed workers unions, ATA, UPTA and Uatae and then appeared before the press yesterday to explain the terms of this extention.

The main novelty is that seasonal workers, who only work a few months of the year, are now included in the cesación de actividad and are therefore eligible for the monthly payment.

As far as social security payments go for the 1.4 million recipients, there will be a 100% discount for July, 50% for August and 25% for September.
