Good news for anglers in Motril and Salobreña because it is now permitted to fish off the beach and the rocks.

However, there is a time frame which begins at 22.00h and ends at 09.00h the next day – outside those times the beach is in use for walkers and water sports.

This activity was included in the Orden SND/414/2020, on the 16th of May where it states that recreational and sports fishing are permitted within Phase One as long as safety distances are observed. It also states that it is up to the municipal authorities to regulate the times and to control the activity.

Furthermore, the SND/414/2020 has suspended the normal restriction each year where angling is not permitted between the 15th of June and the 15th of September when beaches are in full use.
