Salobreña Asks for Exemption

SAL View from the SeaThe PM, Pedro Sánchez, told the regional parliaments that it is his intention to eliminate the time restrictions on going out walking or practicing sports.

Now, this measure, if it goes ahead, will only be for municipalities of 10,000 inhabitants or fewer – readers will remember that when this timetable came into force, villages of 5,000 or under were exempt.

The Mayor of Salobreña sees this as an opportunity to get rid of these restrictions in the municipality, even though the total number of inhabitants for the municipality is 12,000.

She reasons that the timetable had already been waivered for La Guardia, La Caleta and Lobres, as they are separate urban areas. When you take away the number of inhabitants for those three municipal dependencies, then that leaves Salobreña proper with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants.

Anyway, this possible move has not yet appeared in the BOE (Official National Gazette) so it’s a moot point until it has.

It does seem hard on salobrena when they havent had one case here.mind i take my hat off to the policea cos they have done a wonderfull job at keeping the virus away from us with all there checks and everything i think they have done a wonderful job.but its a shame that the residents of salobrena have to suffer and be punished for doing the right thing.and self isolating by not moving to stage 2..Rod Greenhill.
