Junta Helps Autónomos

AND Junta PM MorenoThe Regional Government (Junta)  is preparing a new package of economic measures to counter the negative effects of the Lock Down.

This includes a plan to reactivate tourism and new aid for autónomos and small businesses. The aid for autónomos, for instance will be to help with their monthly Seguridad Social payments, according to the Deputy PM, Juan Marín.

Sr. Marín did not clarify if they are planing to do the same as the Deputy PM for the Comunidad de Madrid did,  which was to pay the March and April S/S quotas. Both politicians belong to the same party; the minority partners in coalition, regional governments.

The opposition socialist party called for the governing parties to approve “specific and convincing” measures. Their party Spokesman, José Fiscal, pointed out that the Central Government was planning to pay 70% of each of the next six months’ quotas. For this reason he has repeatedly called upon the Junta to pay the other 30%.

Editorial comment: Believe it when you see it.
