We received a comment from a reader called Julie on our article entitled “And on the Brighter Side, containing a link to information on Mercadona. We decided to phone them this morning, to make sure there had been no changes.
The central office told us that all their shops here on the coast are opening between 09.00h and 20.00h. Previously they where open from 09.30h – 21.30h.
As for entrance restrictions, their policy is that once they reach a certain amount of shoppers already inside, they will not let anybody in until another shopper leaves the supermarket, so expect to queue outside during peak shopping hours.
