If you have had a look at the Río Verde and Río Seco riverbeds in Almuñécar, you will have seen that the Junta finally got its reluctant finger out.
In fact, you will now see that Río Verde, for example, has been cleared all the way up to Jete, almost.
Furthermore, not only has vegetation been removed but the water flow has been channeled down the centre of the rambla and an elevated track for vehicles has also been created all the way down.
The Councillor for Agriculture, Luis Aragón, who is the councillor for just about everything else – he’s a busy lad – has expressed his thanks to the Junta for the work being carried out.
