There has been a rockfall on the N-340 between Salobreña and Motril, which has caused the westbound lane to be closed until it can be removed.
If necessarily, they may well close the whole road down temporarily whilst the obstruction is removed, so if you want to go on the A-7 at Taramay to reach Salobreña coming off at Lobres or Motril, that is certainly an option. The same goes for traffic passing through Motril.
Alternatively, you can always take the beach road from Salobreña to Motril as the incident seems to be somewhere between the Guadalfeo and the Salobreña junction.
