The Motril Policía Local were called in to deal with an upturned car that was blocking the main entrance into a block of flats in Calahonda.

The incident occurred just after 02.00h, yesterday morning when a road accident ended up with a car blocking the entrance to a block of flats on Calle Miramelinos. The driver of the vehicle had collided with several other parked cars causing his car to slide to a halt on its roof.

According to the police, the driver, who lacked a driving licence, lost control of the vehicle. After coming to a halt, he abandoned the car and the scene of the accident.

Residents in the said block were unable to enter or leave the building through the main entrance for several hours, until the car was righted and then towed away.
