La Herradura is looking just a little more Christmassy thanks to the poinsettias all over the place, especially around the new beach-road roundabout.
In fact, 150 of the blighters have colonised the village, dotted along the main streets, thanks to the efforts of the gardening programme, Ocupados, who were charged with ‘poinsetting’ the hell out of the village.
Personally, I think Triffids would have been much more fun…
But there has been more vegetive preparation because the palm trees have been getting municipal attention, all along the Paseo Marítimo Andrés Segovia, because heroic municipal workmen have been on their cherry pickers removing the seed pods, which if left, would litter the pavements with the seeds. Stirring stuff!
