Another consequence of the prolonged rainfall on Friday were the boulders that had been dislodged from the cliff face below the castle.

The Policía Local were called out to cordon off the area were the footpath runs below the castle from the Paseo de Las Flores down to the Gambullón.

The Town Hall has called on people to stay away from the area as more boulders and rocks could still come down.

Furthermore, the Mayor, María Eugenia Rufino, announced that the municipal surveyor would inspect the area so that adequate measures can be taken so that the area can get back to normal.
