Dead Horse Dumped

There was a disagreeable discovery up in the La Nacla area of Motril when locals came across the body of a dead horse in an advanced state of decay.

La Nacla has recently become a sort of unofficial dumping ground, with old sofas, building waste, greenhouse plastic… and now dead horses, being dumped there.

The horse had no identifying chip so the Policía Local couldn’t track down the owner so he could be obliged to dispose of it. Consequently, the municipal services have buried the horse, covered in quick lime, on a piece of publicly owned land.

But this has been the straw that broke the camel’s back and the Town Hall has had no alternative but to finally get the area cleaned up with a JCB to removing the rubble, etc, from the Rambla de San Antonio as far as San Nicolás.
