Almuñécar PGOU on Display

ALM Casa de la Cultura 2Almuñécar PGOU (General Urban Development Plan) has now been put on public display so those that wish to contest its contents can inspect it.

These plans and documents will be on display until the 26th of November.

During this time the Town Council will not be able to approve or reject any building licence, etc, in any areas of the municipality affected by the new PGOU.

This suspension lasts for six months, so if you are waiting for a building licence, then you had better check that your area is not affected by any modification contained within the revised PGOU.

The Mayor said that the PGOU is not written in stone but rather it is a starting point which can be modified before the definitive approval by the Junta de Andalucia.

So, where can you find the PGOU on display? You will find it inside the Centro de Iniciativa Empresarial (inside the Casa de la Cultura) or you can download it via the official website.

Furthermore, you can go to the Town Hall, where the Urban Development Office is, and ask for details there. The Head of Urban Development has set up a computer where you can access the document.

In the meantime the two opposition parties, the PSOE and Convergencia Andaluza (Benavides) are against this new PGOU, claiming that it does not deal with the real needs of Almuñécar.
