Five-hundred scantily dressed skiers and snowboarder gathered on the Sierra Nevada to participate in the VII Bajada en Bañador last Saturday.
These, what can only be described as heroes, weren’t exactly ‘swathed’ because they were in bikinis and swimming shorts, bless their absent cotton socks.
This was one of the last events organised before the ski station closes down on the 5th of May, thus concluding the 2018/2019 season. With a temperature of 10ºC and splendid sun they made their way down the Principiantes II slope, which is the Borreguiles area
The very next day, there was another descent, but this time with skiers dressed in clothes from the beginning of last century, or, if preferred, dress from the 80s. This was the Bajada Retro, which was organised by Telemarketa Rikitaum.
To conclude, the sum collected in all the fund-raising events during the skiing season were handed over to the AECC in Granada.
