Unhappy with Customer Service

The overworked Guardia Civil arrested a man who allegedly attacked a gun shop owner with an axe in Martos, Jaen.

The irate, 49-year-old gentleman was annoyed with the shop owner as he had refused to sell him an air pistol, which quickly degenerated into promises of defecating on family tombs, doubts about the virility of their fathers and references to the main source of income of their mothers.

Well, before you could fire off a couple of “I defecate on the grave of your wanton-hussy mother,” the man returned with an axe to reinforce his ambition of obtaining an air pistol from the said shop.

After chopping up the shop door and the shopkeeper a bit, he fled the scene, but was soon tracked down and arrested.

Upon arrest it was discovered that he also had another huge machete and a nasty Stanley knife in his backpack. The axe, however, he had discarded in a flowerbed, but to no avail as it was soon found.

Editorial comment: upon first coming across this story, the first thing that came to mind was the American expression “like taking a knife to a gunfight.” Who, in their right mind, attacks a man with a shop full of guns?
