The Public Prosecutor at the Provincial Law Court is recommending a 2-year prison sentence for two men who disrupted a religious service in the Motril Mosque.
Mohammed A.A. y Hamid B.S. allegedly burst into the Al Andalus Mosque, which is on Calle Pablo Picasso , during Ramadan and snatched the microphone from the Imam, completely disrupting the religious ceremony before leaving.
It was 23.30h on the 10th of June, 2017, when the incident occurred, during the last call to prayer of the day. Mohammed A.A. reportedly grabbed the imam from behind, pinning his arms whilst Hamid B.S. grabbed the microphone and began to use it.
The trial will be held on the 9th of next month.
