Do you fancy an evening of good, competitive football? Yes? Well, you’re in luck because tomorrow evening (Friday 10th) sees the inaugural Almuñécar Cup, which will be held in the municipal stadium (Estadio Municipal Francisco Bonet).
Kick-off is at 18.30h and CD Almuñécar City will be pitted against three teams from the 3º Division; Huetor Tajar, Atl. Mancha Real and Velez CF. These teams are all in divisions above the hosts, but once again player/manager George Jermy’s CDAC prove that they can tempt high-class opponents to Almuñécar.
General Manager Chris Darwen commented, “It has been a long time since teams of this level have played against a team from Almuñécar so we really do hope that the locals turn out in force to provide their support. It should be an excellent evening and a great test for our new squad”.
As mentioned above, kick-off is at 18.30h and each game will be just 45 minutes each… so, fast and furious is the order of the day.
