The Guardia Civil and Protección Civil have been looking for a missing, elderly man from Ítrabo, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s.
Antonio Villa González, 83, went missing Thursday evening and police have been out since Friday morning looking for him.
He had gone out in the evening, as he usually does, around 20.00h but still hadn’t returned by midnight, which was when the family contacted the Guardia Civil.
With the impracticality of a nighttime search and being summer, there being no chance of suffering from exposure, the search began at first light, 07.00h.
The police have been using tracker dogs and an ambulance was kept at hand. He was last seen near his house, which is where the search began.
