As has been the case for the last four summers, the Blue Zones on the seafront road and part of Avenida del Mediterráneo have been activated.

Therefore, you will have to pay for your parking from now until the 15th of September on any one of the 600 parkng spaces included between 10.00h an 21.00h every day.

How much? It costs one centime per minute up to a maximum of five hours. You can pay at the parking machines or you can use the phone app (El Parking).

The advantage with using the app is that you can pay for the exact amount of time used, rather than buying it in blocks of time. Another advantage is that you don’t have to trudge back up the beach to put more money in the meter – you can do lying down on the beach.

Again, as in previous years local businesses can buy ‘virtual parking tickets’ for their customers.

There will be eight parking attendants who will be joyously slapping fines on cars. If you get one and you pay it within two hours (via the machine) the fines are three euros for overextended parking or seven euros if you simply didn’t bother getting a ticket. Oh, and you can pay the fine via the parking app, as well.
