Another attempt at smuggling stolen vehicles over to North Africa was thwarted at Motril Port on the 4th of June.
A 57-year-old Belgian man was arrested after it was discovered that the two scooters he was transporting had been stolen in the Netherlands, they were reported missing around mid May.
The arrested man, who had been trying to get them onto the Volcán de Timanfaya, destined for the Morrocan port town of Alhucemas, was driving a van with the bikes in the back, both of which had Dutch temporary plates on them.
