There was a brush fire near Vélez-Málaga that produced so much smoke next to the autovia exit for the A-356 that it was temporarily closed to traffic.

Two fire-fighting units speedily dealt with the fire, the smoke from which could be seen for several kilometres.

The traffic flow was soon restored between Avenida Juan Carlos I and the autovia junction, the Mayor of the town explained.
