The local opposition party, Ciudadanos in La Herradura has complained about the work being carried out on the Paseo Marítimo Andrés Segovia.

They are not happy with the timing as they fear that the work will clash with the high season when the village is at its busiest.

The other point of contention has been the ripping up of 500 metres of paseo/pavement that had only been laid five years previously, which, the opposition party considers, clearly demonstrates that the ruling party continually improvises.

“I doesn’t seem much of a good idea to redo the same work each legislative term; it’s is more like foolhardiness any way that you look at it,” said their Spokesperson.
