A skier in Sierra Nevada had to be evacuated by helicopter last Sunday after taking a fall and injuring himself.
The incident happened around ten in the morning when the skier was traversing Valle del Río San Juan, which is about 2,200 above sea level.
According to 112, the accident happened just off the slope and resulted in him dislocating his knee. It was an instructor from a skiing group who alerted the emergency services.
The Guardia Civil, mountain-rescue service, Sereim was called out and sent in their helicopter to pick him up and take him to the new PTS hospital.
