The Motril Policía Local arrested three people on the night of the 18th after a car chase resulting in two policemen being slightly injured.

The two men and a woman, who all have criminal records, are suspected of carrying out a snatch-&-run robbery.

The chase started after an alert from the Policía Nacional; the Policía Local ordered the to stop but instead they sped off.

It was on Calle Nueva/Calle Cuevas junction that the thieves’ car collided with two patrol cars, causing it to lose its from left-hand wheel.

One of the supects threw himself from the car before it came to a halt but the other two were immediately arrested.

The two injured policemen were later treated at the Santa Ana Hospital.
