Readers will remember the bungee-jumping accident on a bridge between Béznar and Lanjarón, resulting in the death of a young British woman – the trial is reaching its conclusion.

The Public Prosecutor maintains his 2-year-prison-sentence, recommendation for the business owner of the adventure company and the monitor in charge of the jump from Puente de Tabate that ended in the death of Kleyo I.N.F.A., on the 21st of July, 2015.

The only changes that the P.P. made to his recommendation was to reduce the compensation figure down from 200,000 euros to 150,000 euros. He also dropped charges against the Insurance Compensation Consortium as an accused party.

In the opinion of the P.P., the young woman’s death could have been avoided had the safety measures not been insufficient, even though the group that was to jump, including the victim, had been informed on how to jump.
