A 27-year-old man has been arrested for the alleged stabbing of a 14-year-old girl in the metropolitan area of Granada.

Apparently the suspect befriended the minor on Facebook, posing as an adolescent himself. The girl had agreed to meet up with him to get him to leave her alone, perhaps thinking that she was dealing with somebody of her own age.

The meeting took place in a house in Calle Horno which is under construction and resulted in the man allegedly sexually abusing her, beating her and stabbing her, for good measure.

The girl is presently hospitalised in the ICU but recovering, although her condition is said to be ‘serious.’
