Police in Valladolid have arrested an English teacher of British nationality for having stored on his computer, and distributed, child pornography via the internet.

The suspect allegedly obtained photographs (without the subject’s knowledge) with sexual connotations of his young female students with a special interest in one of them, on whom he maintained a file.

Interpol in Canada detected an email address operated from Spain which was being used to share “illicit archives” and immediately informed the Spanish authorities. The email user was also uploading similar material to cloud storage.

The Spanish police soon discovered that both the cloud storage and email account corresponded to a British citizen, born in Manchester and living in Sevilla. However, subsequent investigations showed that he no longer lived there and had moved to Valladolid.

The police urgently requested a warrant to search the suspects home where they discovered a considerable amount of sexually explicit material of minors. Amongst this material were the photographs that he had taken secretly of his own students.

At the moment the police are working to identify all of the victims featured in his photograph collection.
