Almost two million euros make up the budget to sort out the ‘plumbing’ along the paseo, by which we mean just about all the beach road because the drainage and water mains beneath it are completely obsolete.
But things will be changing on the surface, too, as there will be a roundabout at the junction with Avenida Prieto Moreno, as well as a bit of beauty treatment for the paseo in general.
But wait! The old towns also going to get another 800,000 euros spent on it to fund Phase Two of the renovation of underground infrastructure.
The Chairman of the Mancomunidad, however, reassured the business sector that the work will not get in the way of summer tourism, as work will stop in June and not recommence until the second fortnight of September.
