The Guardia Civil arrested two people in Molvizar in connection with an illegal crop; a cortijo had a marihuana plantation in its basement.
The cortijo, protected by several large dogs, had 166 plants in a completely conditioned environment.
The police had a little bit of difficulty entering the basement as it had a small trap door as an entrance, which was completely concealed in one of the cortijo rooms – there was also the question of the dogs, which were not keen to let them pass.
Finally, and as is almost the norm for indoor plantations, the cortijo was illegally hooked up to a power supply.
Both arrested men are from from the village, thus Spanish nationals – no need to count your compatriot friends to see if any are missing…
