A streetlight fell onto the N-340 at the western end of the Taramay tunnel, thanks to a rockslide that brought it down.

The incident, which occurred around 17.00h, Thursday the 9th, did not cause damage to any cars, but it did cause a hold up whilst the lamppost and rubble was being removed from the road.

One of the first persons at the scene was local builder Grahame Linton, who supplied us with the photo. He ended up directing the traffic until the police turned up to take charge.
