The passenger & vehicle, ferry line, FRS is on the point of reaching its first anniversary of operating out of Motril, linking it to Tangiers.

To mark the occasion they are bringing in new services, such as onboard WIFI, meaning that you can watch films etc on your own computer, pad or smartphone. There are also a duty-free shop and a cafetería

As many of the passengers are lorry drivers, they are providing cabins in which they can rest. However, these cabins are not only for professional drivers, so if you’ve driven for many hours before embarking, you can have some much needed sleep during the crossing.

But it doesn’t stop there, because the Al Andalus Express, as the ferry is known, is offering tickets at 24 euros each way for foot passengers – yes, only 24 euros. If you’re thinking of taking your car over, then it will cost you 89 euros for the vehicle and five passengers
