Alsa Wins Motril Bus Station

mot-bus-station-inauguration-01-onlAt last, a company has been selected to run the new Motril bus station, which will commence operations on the 1st of December.

The national/international, bus company, Alsa, placed the winning bid for the lease to run the bus station, which is situated at the top end of the Vadillo trading estate, near the roundabout that leads to Puntalón, the fairground and autovia link.

Alsa, which took over the old Alsina Graells, is a good choice because the majority of buses that use Motril’s old bus station (and those in the rest of Granada) belong to this company, so there should be no coordination problems, should there?

“We’re enthusiastic about it because we’ve worked hard to win the contract,” said the company’s general manager for the Andalucia, Valeriano Díaz Revilla, adding, “Motril is a strategic point for us; somewhere to get established and to continue growing – Almería, Granada and Málaga routes all pass through Motril.”

Sr. Díaz Revilla also explained that they are hard at work organising the move from the old bus station on Calle Cruces; whether to make the move all on one day or stagger it.
