The Municipal police in Sevilla are trying to track down a bike rider who knocked down a 3-year-old on a zebra crossing and then fled the scene of the accident.

The incident occurred at 19.00h on the 7th on Calle Monte Carmello whilst the child, accompanied by a family member was using the zebra crossing. According to eyewitnesses the vehicle was a moped (it had yellow plates) and had a box on the back for deliveries.

The child was rushed to Hospital Virgen del Rocío in the city and thankfully the child is making a good recovery.

In a similar incident in Santander on the 11th of May, 2014 and 3-year-old was knocked over on a zebra crossing by a car at 22.00h – however, in this incident the driver stopped and assisted.
