If you’re thinking of taking the Gambullón back lane to the beach in Salobreña, don’t because it has been closed – I did and was not a happy bunny.

Now that the whole TH1 urban development thing is underway, this much used lane between La Caleta-La Guardia and the Peñón/fairground will be intermittently closed.

This means that you can still get between La Caleta and Salobreña (la cuesta Caracho), for the moment, but don’t try reaching the fairground or the Peñon – use Avenida Mediterraneo.

This is going to last months whilst the whole area between the Peñon and La Guardia is being ready for the new hotels, etc.
