The Wizard’s Wandering Wand

SPN Witch DoctorA mother let her boyfriend abuse her teenage daughter because she thought that he was a wizard, allegedly. The mother was very much into the world of magic.

As a result, both the man and the mother stand accused of corruption of minors and the latter of sexual abuse.

This incident, by the way, took place up in Galicia in 2013, which is the Spanish equivalent of Cornwall… lightning trees and skinned dogs sort of thing.

The man had appeared on the scene to help out in the family business. Discovering that the woman was into astrology and the occult in general, he soon convinced her that Gandalf was an amateur next to him.

According to a daily from up that way she was entirely convinced that he was “a medicine man with paranormal powers that were given to him by a dying witch doctor in an African town.”

Hooked, she was apparently easily convinced to let him carry out a bit of magic on her daughter – now you see it, now you don’t.

To achieve the compliance of the adolescent, he created an email account for a “South American goddess,” who just happened to have a very high opinion of the resident Merlin. Before long the teenage girl idolized Mr Magic and acceded to his mystical suggestions, cheered on by her mother.

The mother was so enthusiastic with the whole idea that she bought her daughter indigenous clothing in order to take photos of her and send them to her hero. In some of them, the indigenous clothing and the girl were not occupying the same space, sort of thing.

Well it all ended in tears when the father came home one day, discovered what was going on and sent the wistful warlock packing before stomping off down to the police station to report it all.

And then we complain about the Americans being a sandwich short of a picnic…
