A Nose for Surgery

AND Nose JobA young man of 26 went into an operating theatre in Málaga to have a papilloma removed from his pharynx… but came out, instead with a new nose.

Well, not exactly new, but with his turbinates tampered with. Don’t ask. Anyway, not impressed he asked for a hospital complaint form.

The doctor had come out of the surgery and announced to the waiting family that they had successfully removed his turbinates – after a lengthy explanation about what the bloody hell this is, the mother pointed out that he had a wart on his pharynx and that there was nothing wrong with his nose, inside or out.

Needless to say, the surgeon had him back under the knife and whipped out the papilloma… and probably tried to put his nasal conchae back as they were, but the complaint stands.

As the operation was carried out under local anesthetic the patient was surprised when they stuffed something sharp up his nose but reasoned that it must be a back door to his pharynx, as those immortal words marched through his mind: “Trust me; I’m a doctor.”
