No matter how long you have been living in or visiting Spain, the mystery and reverence of ‘Semana Santa’ will never fail to impress you, with its haunting images, processions and traditions.
Our solemn contribution to this special Easter-tide is a concert to be held by the Choir of Juventudes Musicales of Almuñécar at the Casa de la Cultura, from 8pm on the 14th March.
A little early, we know, but in time to get you into the mood for Holy Week, as we will be performing Via Crucis by Liszt, together with Madrigals by Monteverdi and William Hawley. This classical music is truly moving and we are looking forward to the opportunity to share it with you.
Talking of movement, the Choir of Juventudes Musicales of Almuñécar will, alongside three other choirs, together with the Symphonic Orchestra of Atarfe, be performing Beethoven’s 9th, this time on April 9th (just to be consistent) from (you guessed it!), 9pm at Almuñécar’s Casa de la Cultura.
So plenty of wonderful music is going to be made available to you in our brilliant town. Please do take advantage of it and be there with us!
