Apart from being a pain, the work on the beach end of the Avenida Juan Carlos I will see the creation of a new roundabout junction at the beach end.

Hopefully, next week will see the road open to traffic again, which means that you won’t have to detour around town to get anywhere. The reopening is timed for the Xmas holidays.

The Councillor for Public Works, Fernández Medina, explained that the small roundabout will have a centre island measuring three metres across.

But that’s not the end of this drudgery because at the beginning of January the road will be closed for roadworks between the roundabout in front of Sol Bank as far as Calle Málaga.
