Town Hall Hotline App

SAL Linea Verde App OnLSalobreña has joined the Línea Verde system, meaning that by downloading the app you have a direct line to the Town Hall.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, which is free, you only have to set it up for your own municipality; i.e. Salobreña. From there on in, you can ask questions or report street problems, for example.

To report something just select the type of complaint. If you’re standing right next to the problem, the app will automatically register its location using your phone’s GPS system. You can attach a photo of the problem together with a brief description.

From this moment the Town Hall gets the Maintenance Department onto it and once its fixed, you receive notification that the problem has been rectified.

If you don’t have a smartphone or don’t want to download the app, you can submit your report/complaint via Internet on www.lineaverdesalobreña.com. You’ll need to register, but once you have, you can report whatever you want.

The Councillor for the Environment, Gabriel Alonso, explained that the idea is designed for complaints about rubbish bins, litter bins, trees, gardened areas, insect plagues or rats and even illegal dumping. You can also advise that you have put old furniture, etc out for collection (Thursday evenings).

He also wanted to point this out because there already exists a different web page called “communicacion de incidencias en la vía publica,” which is for reporting street problems, such as broken street lamps and holes in pavements, etc.
