Storm damage to the road where it passes through the coastal village of Melicena (Sorvillán) caused it to be temporarily closed to traffic today.

Emergency services received a call at 23.40h, Sunday the 1st, to say that there had been a landslide, so the Guardia Civil moved immediately closed the road between kilometre points 364 and 369 whilst machinery worked to clear it.

The road was reopened earlier today.

Furthermore, just after midnight; i.e., early this morning, the Gualchos road (GR-5206) was also temporarily closed between kilometre points 13.5 and 14.5.
