The Association of Property Owners belonging to the Carmenes de Mar met with the Granada Sub-Delegate, Santiago Pérez López, who pledged to move things along, in conjunction with the Junta de Andalucía and the Town Hall, so that “the houses will survive the winter.”

According to the homeowners, Sr. Pérez has promised to set up an “immediate intervention” within a fortnight to carry out safety and stabilization work in the area.

“With the coming of Autumn, and with it the season rains, it is a great source of concern for the residents, as the safety of hundreds of people is at grave risk,” said the association spokesperson, Ricardo López.
