Pago de Guerra Lane Work

LHR Pago de Guerra lane OnLAfter a pause during August, the roadworks on the Pago de Guerra lane in La Herradura recommenced with tarmacking on Tuesday the 15th.

Work centred around the beginning of the access lane; i.e., at the Urb. La Cañada Real (where the Agrosur garden centre is) the tarmacking machinery laying a 5-metre wide strip over the new part of the lane.

This is the last phase of a 60,000-euro budget, virtually, as the only thing left to do is the placing of five street lights and crash barriers in places along the Cañada Real part.

Part of the project already completed is the 80-metre long retaining wall alongside the stream bed – see photo – which not only protects the road from storm water, but also allowed the lane to be widened from 4m to 5.50m in width.
