The Junta de Andalucía has promised that Motril’s new bus station will be completed before the end of this coming December.
The promise was delivered by the regional Head of Housing, Mariela, who was visiting the said building under construction, which is currently 70% complete.
In fact, the walls and roof are on and it is inside work, plumbing, tiling etc that is being completed at the moment.
That’s the building itself, but in the next few days work will commence on the platforms and parking bays for the buses at the back of the building.
The new bus station has a budget of 1.7m euros for the 600 sq/m building, which includes a cafe, changing rooms, public toilets, ticket offices and admin offices.
Lastly, owing to the building being on a hillside, it is on two levels, connect by stairs and ramps.
