The Guardia Civil arrested eight illegal immigrants near Playa Rijana, which is between Calahonda and Castell de Ferro.

The eight North Africans had landed just minutes before the Guardia Civil moved in, with the arrest taking place at 15.15h on Saturday the 12th.

The immigrants were taken to the Motril Policía Nacional HQ, where they were attended to by the Red Cross, pending their expulsion.
