The Motril municipal police managed to prevent a woman from jumping from a 1st-floor balcony. From that height there was a high risk of injury, at least.

The police received the call around 16.00h on Wednesday the 9th to say two members of the same family were having a heated argument on a balcony in the Barrio La Posta.

When they arrived it was to find that the woman was half over the balcony railing, threatening to jump, so they immediately called in an ambulance and the fire service.

In the meantime, the police were attempting to talk her down, whilst two of their number managed to gain entrance to the balcony of the next-door flat.

The officers eventually managed to talk her down, where she was attended by the medical team.
