The Mayor of Salobreña, Mª Eugenia Rufino, announced that Salobreña would join the other towns that will open their doors to take in refugees.

“We cannot ignore this situation and are obligated to respond within the limits of our resources,” she explained, adding, “It is therefore our intention to join the network of other towns that have pledged to provide shelter, coordinating our efforts with different administrations.”
