A man shot two youths with an air gun after finding them in his swimming pool in the middle of the night.

The incident occurred on Wednesday the 5th just after midnight in Torredonjimeno (Jaen) and involved two teenagers of 16 and 17, who received pellet-gun wounds to the legs.

The man heard noises coming from his swimming pool belonging to his cortijo and went outside to investigate, only to find four teenagers using his pool.

Understandably, he was not happy and told them to get out and leave, but instead of doing precisely that, they told him to bugger off and continued, so he went inside for his air rifle.

Two of them received pellet wounds to the legs, which did not stop them leaving the man’s property with alacrity.

They were taken to hospital by their parents and received treatment, although neither’s condition could be described as serious as they were soon released.

Meanwhile, the property owner has been arrested by the police and brought before a Justice of the Peace, charged with causing bodily harm. His air rifle was confiscated.

Apparently, it was not the first time that the youths took the liberty of using the man’s pool, bless their cotton socks.
