It was on the 27th of August last year that the horse-riding facilities were ordered closed down, because it was considered that the concession holders had not upheld the Andalusian regulations on such installations.
On the 12th of February this year, the Delegación Territorial de Agricultura, Ganadería, Industria y Calidad pointed out that the municipal riding school could operate again.
The IU leader said that they do not understand why the Mayor did not immediately order the picadero to be reopened on the day after the regional ruling on was made known. Yet the riding-school remains closed.
Then came the 5th of June and the leaseholder asked for the contract agreement to be annulled, which was undertaken with mutual accord.
For this reason, IU Councillor Fermín Tejeros calls for a new lease to be put up for bidding, as it is, he says, a shame that such facilities are lying deteriorating and unused.
