A young man of 18 was pulled out of the water by his friends between Calahonda and Castell de Ferro in a very bad way.

The man, who had been scuba diving with his father in a group, was rushed to Motril’s Santa Ana Hospital where his condition is said to be very serious.

At some point he had experienced some difficulties which had resulted in his becoming separated from the group. His friends eventually found him and he was rushed to the embarcadero (launching ramp) in Calahonda.

First his friends performed First Aid on him and then the emergency services, who managed to stabilize his condition, before his transfer to hospital
