Salobreña Castle Reopening

SAL wasp castle OnLApparently, the reopening of the castle in Salobreña is just around the corner, after being closed to the public for about a year whilst restoration work was taking place.

According to municipal authorities, it’s all over barring the paperwork and finishing touches, which include the Arab baths that were unearthed during the strengthening work to the castle foundations.

Just below the castle, on the Paseo de Las Flores, where the gantry building crane is situated, it was decided to bury the concrete base for the crane rather than remove it, just in case future work is necessary that will require the crane being erected again.

The said paseo will also have public toilets installed for visitors on normal days, as well as for events, such as the markets held there or the Lucero del Alba and Tendencias events.
